Vinyasa Flow Yoga This is a vigorous style of yoga that builds muscle and bone strength, stamina and endurance, and enhances proprioception and mental awareness, while also lengthening muscles to provide for increased range of motion, better body alignment, and emotional and physical pain relief. We incorporate Iyengar-based alignment principles, Ashtanga-based vinyasas and pranayamas, and an Anusara-inspired heart-centered focus in all of these classes. Be prepared to sweat! Bring a towel, belt or strap, or block, if needed. Yin Yoga This style of yoga is relaxing and restorative, and is appropriate for all levels of practitioners. The focus is on long holds of deep stretches, and this is a great style of yoga to do right before bed! Yin yoga can also help alleviate menstrual problems, menopausal hot flashes, and insomnia. Inversions and hip openers with be emphasized.
